The MAPerformance Honda Type-R FK8 intake system is the result of extensive design iteration through dyno testing and flow analysis. We developed a system that maintains low air inlet temperatures that allow your turbo to get all of the crisp cool air it deserves.
The massive 6.5" K&N intake filter sits safely shielded away from hot air in a high quality rotomolded air box which utilizes the factory style seal against the hood. The cast aluminum intake pipe features a built in velocity stack to allow the air to flow smoothly and efficiently.
All these features allow you to achieve power gains, steady temperatures, increased throttle response, and beautiful induction noise. This intake system is easy to install and is backed by our MAP Lifetime Warranty.

I just installed my new intake and love the sound and look of my type r. I wish I had the extra cash flow to purchase the other maperformance items listed for my car but will definitely be saving the pennies for the next item. You will not be disappointed with the air intake system
Sounds so good under load, best sounding intake out there. The only thing i would like to see is to not have to cut the hose you guys provided and just give us two separate hoses. Looks so good with my HKS BOV(tight fit).
The intake sounds amazing 🔥🔥🔥 The gasket on top of the box does hit the hood though other than that no other complaints.
This is my first mod on my CTR and I have got to say I'm freaking love this intake. The sounds are amazing lol. I can't compare any other intakes as this is my only mod but have had intakes in previous turbo'd cars and this takes the cake lol. Install was a pain when it came down to 2 different steps involving using my dremel and cutter wheel but aside from that it wasn't too shabby.
Decided to get this intake to replace another one I had for around 3 years. Overall the installation was pretty straight forward. The venturi placement is somewhat a tight fit. Overall the sound is pretty nice, a bit more noisy than the other one I had in a good way. Performance seems to be good. Intake is easy to clean as well I you don't have to take the whole thing apart.
