The 1-piece driveshaft for the Subaru Impreza WRX is a complete 6061-T6 3" aluminum shaft that is approximately 1/2 the weight of the factory 2-piece driveshaft. The 1-piece aluminum shaft features larger, replaceable and greaseable u-joints and can handle about 650WHP and 155 MPH. By removing the factory 2-piece shaft and installing a single shaft the car will feel more responsive due to the lighter weight of the shaft and also the fact that the hanger bearing is not moving up and down during acceleration. Available for most popular motor/trans combinations, if you donâ??t see yours listed, custom shafts are also available.

Please Note: This driveshaft is rated to 650WHP and a top speed of 155MPH and is not recommended for use above this speed. This aluminum driveshaft is 3" diameter and your vehicle may require some minor modifications to the driveshaft tunnel in order to ensure proper fitment. Make sure there is at least 3/4" clearance around the driveshaft before use, and that the differential bushings are not worn as this can cause damage to the driveshaft. Damage caused by improper fitment will not be covered under warranty.

DSS Aluminum driveshaft

Phenomenal customer service. Very polite and helpful. Received updates on my purchase very prompt answers to any questions I had regarding my purchase. Received the part in good time. Part looks good in quality and I’m looking forward to installing it soon. Unfortunately I’m waiting for a tune appointment on the car before I install so I cannot give a performance or install review as of yet.

Long install because of fitment. But now drives great.

Fitment was kinda ruff. Had a few spots threw the driveline tunnel where it rubbed. Had to make some adjustments. Also it rubbed on the shifter bushing so I had to grind some of that away as well. Also it touched the rear sub-frame so had to take some material away from the sub-frame. Had to also cut the Weight/dampener in the sub-frame/driveline brace/cover to make enough clearance. It also rubbed on the e-brack line.
All said and done it seems to be doin good. Feels good, drives nice,

Glad it fit

Recently did a 6mt swap into my 1999 Subaru Forester and wanted to omit the carrier bearing. Got the aluminum drive shaft for a swapped wrx and it worked perfect. Great welds. Will purchase again for my other projects
