Stage III Camshaft by Brian Crower

Duration @ .050 Int/Exh: 218°/218°. Lift (mm): 9.52/9.52. Lift (in): .375"/.375". Position: Intake/Exhaust. FWD. Kit: BC0210. Longer duration profile, added rpm potential. Intended for fully built engine. Tuning and ECU mods recommended. Requires kit BC0100.

All BC cams are checked on a high speed, sub-micron accuracy measuring gauge. The Adcole Camshaft Measuring System uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, with .01 micron resolution, taking one datum point each 1/10th of a degree or 3,600 data points per revolution. Measuring camshafts for rise error and chattermark detection, this model can measure 200 parts per hour.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse has been in production since 1989 and is produced solely for the United States and Canadian market, where it has also been built as the Eagle Talon and the Plymouth Laser through Mitsubishi Motors Corporation's close relationship with the Chrysler Corporation (now DaimlerChrysler) known as Diamond Star Motors, or DSM. The 1st generation Mitsubishi Eclipse was available in four trim levels in both FWD (Front Wheel Drive) and AWD (All Wheel Drive) models, but all were equipped with the 4G63 engine, most in the turbocharged (4G63T) variety.

The 1st Gen engine (6 bolt crank) was used from 1989-1992. The 2nd generation engine (7 bolt crank) was introduced in 1993, but used in the 1st Gen chassis through 1994. In 1995 there was a major update in styling, including a convertible model called the Spyder. The 7 bolt, 4G63 engine was used until 1999. Both the 1st Gen and 2nd Gen 4G63 engines use the same camshafts, however do not confuse the 4G63 engine with the non-turbo, 420A Chrysler engine that was used in the base FWD (Front Wheel Drive) Eclipse from 1995 to 1999.
