My exedy clutch when out, shot a spring out of the disk. The spring got lodged between a main seal bolt and the relief cut in the flywheel. Did a 500 mile brake in, clutch is going great so far. Working great so far, can't wait to start autocross.
Shopped ACT before with my subaru. Shipping was great and fast! Got my flywheel and throw out bearing same package. Will continue to shop with MAP.
This clutch kit feels really nice and drives close to stock! Holding 400awhp just fine.
Before I had the competition twin disc clutch and I didn't like it now I have the act xtss very quiet solid holds torque very well and feels very close to stock.
Previous owner installed this clutch on my Evo and after I threw a rod bearing I had the engine completely rebuilt to the Stage 3 Buschur Racing engine. I liked the clutch before but I was told it would need to be replaced. I had a new clutch professionally installed by Buschur and I did an 800 mile break in period on it. I went to launch the car and it just slipped. I have been launching by car the same way for 3 years and I never had a problem. This Clutch is terrible about Lockout issues as well. I had to have the engine rebuilt from the bearing but Im still on the stock evo 9 turbo so I only put down 345ft/lb until I get a larger turbo. I would not recommend this clutch to anyone! I have been running ACT clutches in my cars for years and have never had an issue till now. I have to get it replaced and it was a complete waste of money.
