Im a dye hard STI driver the 2016 STI is still the best STI In the US I've ran other Stage 1 maps as well as stage 2 but none were as refined as this one, its very smooth and boost is much more responsive at about 18.5 max but the way MAP has set up the fueling its just smooth... with a good punch the IDC is not maxed out like other OTS maps running 96% this map holds at 86% at WOT. This map is also refined for delay driving the throttle mapping is great plus you still have your SI drive stings I, S and S# unlike other OTS maps you still have different throttle settings like stock but not as aggressive and you don't lose power ie the max boost is the same in S and S# the only thing that changes is the throttle response this is better in case you need boost to pass or whatever (down shift first) rather then having to switch SI mods plus having different throttle setting is good for different road conditions and is what Subaru intended, they just did not refine it was well as MAP has. This Map is how the car should have been from Subaru try it before you decide to mod your car to much you will be impressed trust me. There are a few small things to note for what ever reason the flat foot shifting is set to 4500 or 5500 rpm as default with this map causing ruff shifting if you don't keep your foot on the gas when shifting above 5500 just go into the AP and set the flat foot shift rpms to 8000 or whatever rpm you would like if your going to use it, if not you must set it to 8000 rpm to disable it, there is a option to reset it in the AP but this will just reset it to 5500 by default same for LC. This is better then a E-tune and with a Cat back system you will be very happy SMOOTH IF FAST!!. Trust me if you like your car stock and just want a bit more power and drive ability this map is the way to go.I would also like to say Thanks to Ian for answering all my questions and helping with the flat foot shifting issue.
i'm a diesel tuner my self i build turbo chargers and build engine as well, Seriously not much tuner able to please my requirements.Although i blocked my egr and remove the TGV butterflies, This is the best OTS map for stock 2.5 sti with safe range tuning. The idle is improved with correct fuel map, ignition timing, and the best thing is. The turbo does spool and make boost earlier and produce a very stable boost at every rpm without have to add extra boost controller or changing the acuator. Everything is about "how you fully utilize the software before upgrading ur hardware". i consider this map is the safest & most cost efficient around market without have to waste extra time on dyno.
