The Lancer Evolution Lava Turbo Blanket is designed to fit the factory Evo X Turbochargers.
PTP Turbo Blankets isolate the heat produced by your turbocharger with the purpose of reducing turbo lag, cooler air intake temperatures, protecting and prolonging vital under hood components (up to 60% under hood heat reduction), and giving a boost in horsepower.
In keeping the exhaust gases within the turbocharger hot, turbocharger efficiency is improved. Also by keeping the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger and away from the cool side of the turbocharger and the intake path, more oxygen per unit volume reaches the engine, and thus, more power can be achieved.
The PTP Lava Turbo Blankets are constructed with an outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock (Rated 1800°F Direct Heat / 2500°F Radiant Heat) formed into fabric and woven into a tight mesh weave, these turbo blankets are internally insulated with high temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (Rated 1832°F Continuous / 2300°F Peak) overlaid with a high temperature stainless steel mesh for increased durability and improved thermal resistance. The Lava Turbo Blankets are designed to withstand the harshest of conditions.

Good quality, quick shipping
Finally got my blanket fitted to my turbo and it fits like a glove.... really stoked with this product and the fitment. Took a little bit of effort to install as you could imagine because of the location of the evo x turbo but really satisfied.

blanket fit perfectly snug around the mhi 18k ported turbo was a pain in the ..s to do though
I couldn’t find any videos of the blanket being installed on an evo x anywhere. There seems to be zero room to work with while trying to install the turbo blanket. After trying for about 20 min and cutting up my hands/arms i gave up. I want to return the product and get my money back.
Finely fabricated universal fit blanket, however...
Once received found the blanket too bulky for installation in static state; clearance between turbo, manifold and other piping / brackets. If I’d tried installing on my 2014 Evo, with MAPerformance forged exhaust manifold would have damaged the blanket inner insulation and screen.
Too bad it didn’t work for me.
