Due to rising gas prices and the push for alternative fuel sources, ethanol, derived primarily from corn, has become a common, cost-effective fuel choice. Ethanol has now found its way into most modern gas stations and the community now understands its list of benefits in comparison to gasoline, such as the fact ethanol burns cleaner, cooler and is more resistant to detonation. Because of these characteristics, ethanol is a cheap alternative to expensive race fuels like race gas and/or methanol, especially with high(er) compression factory turbocharged vehicles.
E85 = 85% Ethanol and 15% Gasoline whereas E30 = 30% Ethanol and 70% Gasoline and so-on.
What is Flex Fuel?
In a nutshell, “flex-fuel” allows an internal combustion engine to flexibly utilize one or more different fuels (usually gasoline blended with either ethanol or methanol fuel), and both fuels are stored in the same common fuel tank. Flex-Fuel systems utilize an ethanol content analyzer to determine the amount of ethanol in a fuel system and a converter to send this reading to the vehicle’s ECU to instantaneously adjust for varying fuel mixtures.
Our Plug ‘n Play Flex-Fuel Kit utilizes factory plugs/outputs under the hood for power and communication to the ECU, meaning no need for additional wiring, cutting, splicing or running wires through the firewall into the cabin! This kit supplies everything needed for a quick and easy installation. Please note that our kit does NOT utilize an ethanol content gauge, as we feel that this is unnecessary. Hondata and KTuner V1.2 both offer Bluetooth capabilities, while the KTuner V2 LCD screen can be used to display ethanol content if desired. All components are ethanol compliant!

This was money well spent. Great product and the installation was super easy plug n play. You can view your ethanol percentage on Ktuner or via the prl wifi portal. Plus it’s clean and tuck that you won’t know it’s there if you don’t know what you’re looking at.
after watching the video for installation, it took all of 30 minutes to install. i will be getting a Phearable tune to utilize my capabilities with flex fuel. with only the CAN tunes from ktuner i notice a difference with only a e30 blend, maybe like 15hp according to the butt dyno
Plug and play, does exactly as advertised. Great product would recommend. I would recommend getting the upgraded ptfe fuel line
As others have said - kit build quality is awesome. Has some nice weight to it, not a thing out of place/alignment in regards to the assembly. Instructions are very detailed and if you know your way around the engine bay it can be installed in 20-30 mins no problem.
The flex fuel kit came with the incorrect fuel line. I purchased this kit through MAPerformance and was disappointed when it arrived with the incorrect fuel line. I got in contact with MAPerformance to let them know I received the wrong fuel line and instead of blaming another company for the mishap they took ownership and helped me get in contact with PRL to resolve the issue (PRL was great too). I believe a five star rating is still warrented because instead of directing me somewhere else and placing blame away from themselves, they took ownership and helped me resolve the issue. Phenomenal is one word that will describe their customer service and I will be returning for any parts I need for my car. Ultimately, mistakes happen and fixing it in a timely manner goes a long way in my book. Great job MAPerformane you have a customer for life.
