15+ WRX / 14+ FXT Turbo Sump Restrictor by Torque Solution

Torque Solution Turbo Sump Restrictor for Subaru WRX 2015+ / Forester XT 2014+ is the perfect solution to help fix your FA DIT engine from smoking / burning oil after installing your aftermarket exhaust components.

Due to the reduced engine back pressure from the upgraded exhaust oil tends to go past the turbo seals. This leads to having a burning oil smell and blue smoke coming out the exhaust. Our restrictor works by bringing proper pressure balance back to the oil return system resulting in smell and smoke free enjoyment of your WRX or Forester XT.

Features

  • 6061 Billet Aluminum
  • Black Anodized
  • Includes Stainless Steel Clamps

Please Note: This restrictor installs inline (arrows facing up) on the turbo sump vent hose that runs from the turbo sump to the front engine cover. Any location on the hose is fine as long as there is approx. 3/4" of hose above and below the restrictor.

Works great

Ordered this to try and help with the blue smoke on startup and after a few times it seemed to lighten up alot. Recommend this to anyone, superrrrr simple install.

Easy Install, good part

Overall was a quick and easy install except for the fact that the worm clamps that came with the kit were too small. Im guessing this has to do with my car having the connector and possibly the 2015-2017(or 2016) did not.

Easy installation and good preventative mod

I installed this right with the high flow catted J pipe from Grimmspeed and haven't seen any signs of turbo seals leaking or anything that comes with modifying that part of the turbo-back. Overall pleased.

A sump restrictor is a must have. Do it when you go catless before your seals have a chance to start to leak. I installed mine by removing the electric fan for the radiator (2x10mm bolts, electrical connector.) I pulled the hose off the motor to get a better cut under the sensor, in the middle of the mesh. The supplied clamps were too small, I did have an assortment of clamps handy just in case. I also replaced the sensors lower clamp at the time due to saturation. Reversed the removal of the sump hose and fan. Been driving 2 weeks daily and is way more bearable, before installation, I would take my girlfriends car if we were hitting a drive through. Don't wait too long before pulling the trigger on this. Leaking seals can't be completed fixed by a sump restrictor, I definitely suggest this, and at a great price, and not very noticeable.
