Modern Automotive Performance is no stranger to designing high-performance exhausts for modern turbocharged vehicles, but for the Giulia, we decided to go straight to the community to determine what they wanted most in an exhaust solution:
Performance:
Owner's demand performance and performance are enhanced by decreasing the energy and effort that is required for exhaust gasses to pass through a system. To reduce restrictions, we used 3” inch diameter stainless steel tubing and meticulously designed the system with smooth, mandrel-bent routing. We also designed the long legs of the mid-pipe on our CNC mandrel bender to minimize the number of sections that had to be welded together, further decreasing areas that might create flow-robbing turbulence.
Another unique feature of our system is our tip-less design, this allows us to keep the end product cost low, but not taking away from the overall aesthetics of the exhaust. the end result of this is a stealthy-looking but high-performing exhaust system that still looks and sounds great when your driving past the competition.
Quality:
What you can control in-house, ultimately dictates the quality of the final product. Few other companies use in-house mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing, but we do. Even though our state-of-the-art mandrel bender is CNC programmed, we even go a step further to measure the accuracy of each bend upon completion. From there, we carefully mock-up our exhausts on our custom-built in-house jigs to ensure the most accurate fitment possible. Next, our expert fabricators TIG weld each flange and joint with their superior back-purging techniques to ensure each weld lasts as long as the life of the car, while never leaking. Finally, each weld is inspected for imperfections before being sent off to our shipping department for shipment around the globe!
Made from high-quality 304 Stainless Steel our Giulia Catback is a rare find. Most exhaust systems on the market are made from an inferior 409 Stainless and are prone to surface rust over time. Designed with performance and longevity in mind we're certain anyone in the market for a Giulia Catback will be extremely pleased with the performance gains and exhaust sound of this system.

I was hesitant about an after market exhaust for my Alfa Giulia. I am now a senior citizen and didn't want it to sound like I was a teenager, more impressed with a loud noise than performance. My research led me to MAP and took a chance. When delivered to my installer, a national exhaust franchise, he called me within an hour of dropping the car off and told me that this was the best made, easiest install of an aftermarket exhaust that he has experienced. I started the car with some trepidation but immediately heard a pleasant burble at idle and a pronounced but by no means difference upon acceleration. No droning but just the added sound I was looking for. I am very pleased.
Install by local shop was easy. Shop owner commented on quality of system. Nice deep tone.
I did not have any problems installing the MAP Catback Exhaust System on my 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia Speciale (Canadian Edition in Verde Montreal, only 15 made world wide) since it fit perfectly.
was definitely skeptical about the race exhaust being too loud for my giulia, but it’s gotta be the perfect mix of loud and quality sound.
Was thinking about doing the good ol muffler, resonator delete with a 3" back. Few companies I found with a 3" exhaust at the Downpipe all the way back. With that said I went with the race exhaust and eliminated the muffler. Local muffler shop quoted me about the same price installed. I had my expectations, I reviewed and carefully looked at all the exhausts available for my 2.0. Requirements were (no resonance, no rasp, not obnoxious) I took a gamble based on it being a 3" mostly exhaust back. It exceeded my expectations, I come from cammed V8s straight pipes, 5" straight pipe on turbo diesels and this met my expectations for a 3" on an I4 turboed vehicle. I don't notice the drone, it's quiet enough in the cab, under heavy accel it growls and during upshift it will have a quick and subtle bark. If you're looking for best of both worlds I'd say go for it. You won't find anything cheaper and more complete for the price, especially the fitment. Most exhaust installs I get pissed about due to fitment , alignment. MAperformance did it right and they did it well. Throw out the 4 banger stigma with this exhaust. It's solid and sounds great. Hoping when I add the downpipe it won't add rasp and keep that deep growl like it has now.
