Make sure to use both of the supplies zip ties. One is used on top near the end of the reverse lockout cable where you snip off the original one. The second one is to keep the slack in the cable under the car caused by the shorter shifter from rubbing on the driveshaft. If you do not use the second zip tie under the car you will hear crazy ticking sounds on the highway from the cable touching the driveshaft. Ask me how I know lol.
If you have never had a short Shifter and you don’t want to do the adjustments needed for like say the Cobb short shifter definitely buy this, like I was Skeptical for the price that it would be worth it but I promise you this you should buy it and buy it now I should have gotten this the day I got the car.

I purchased this and the Kartboy bushings for a 2019 sti and holy crap. The shifts are tight, transitioning through the gears is like butter, I really love it.
Pairing the short throw with their bushings is amazing, but if you wouldn’t like to hear transmission noise, I’d look into other bushings. Definitely recommend purchasing the kartboy shifter if you haven’t!
I bought this with cobb shifter link bushings. Only issue is fighting the reverse cable.. and also MAKE SURE YOU ZIP TIE YOUR REVERSE CABLE UNDER THE CAR YOU WILL REGRET NOT DOING IT!!
Not too bad to install, shift way better now smoother and definitely quicker. Worth it.
