The addition of a high performance air-to-air intercooler is the most important upgrade for turbocharged engines. Also known as the ‘CAC’ (Charge Air Cooler) – the colder the charge air temp the better your chances of preventing knock. Under boost, the plastic crimped OEM intercoolers can reach 190-220F at max load. With only the Full-Race Intercooler upgrade installed, temps can drop 90 degrees with inlet temps at or near ambient.
We use the largest and most efficient 4″ thick bar-and-plate intercoolers that can fit the FK8. Optimized Fin pitch, and expertly TIG welded gussetted brackets / endtanks in precise fixtures delivers the reliability and durability Full-Race is known for. This intercooler uses 2.5″ inlet / 2.5″ outlet and is available with water/meth bungs on the coldside charge pipe. Each intercooler is individually pressure tested to 50 psi before shipping.

Worst fitment and horrible customer service from Full Race. Beam flange holes not all the holes lined up. The bottom pegs don’t sit into the mounting holes. Recently a coupler got cut from being to close to a sharp edge. Mine was coated black but when it arrived it had grind marks on the edge of the weld bead. FR promised a refund for the coating but ghosted me and never followed through. I was a previous customer that I purchased a BW turbo kit for $6k. I didn’t buy this from MAP.
