DS2500 Front Brake Pads for Subaru
The DS2500 is currently the best hybrid track/street pad on the market. It features the moderately high bite and solid fade resistance of a track pad, with the relatively low dust and noise levels of a street pad. When used as a street pad, it can produce some squeal on certain vehicle platforms. During aggressive driving the DS2500 is known for its flat torque curve, which means as temperatures go up, the response through the brake pedal remains consistent. If you drive aggressively on the street, do some canyon runs, autoX, and maybe some light track duty on street tires, the DS2500 is tough to beat.
When used on fast, heavy cars on the track with race tires, pad wear rates tend to be higher than some of the full track pad compounds. Under those conditions, we would recommend the Ferodo DS3000 or DS1.11.

Great upgrade to the stock pads, not that the stock pads were that bad. These offered a higher initial bite, but... at a cost of higher dust. Don't care about that? Get these
I am utterly disappointed with this product. The clips of the brake pads broke while installing on my car.
I purchased these pads since the OEM brembo pads are actually stamped Ferodo on the back. When cold these don't have quite the same bite that the OEM brembos do. When their hot and up to proper temperature they have the same bite, or maybe just a touch more "grab" then the OEM brembo pads. So far after a few hundred miles they are still silent when braking. So far I can't tell if there is any more or less brake dust compared to OEM.
Interestingly the four digit ferodo code is different than the OEM brembo pad for the fronts. However the four digit ferodo code stamped on the back of the rear pads is the same for the OEM brembo/Ferodo ds2500.
I installed these on a 2014 Evo MR Touring with 86k miles. These pads were installed with brand new giro disc front 2 piece rotors and centric premium blank rear rotors. I wanted to essentially replace my brakes as close to how the car was from the factory. Instead of spending 5-6k$, I spent about $1300. Considering these pads are essentially half the cost of the OEM brembos with very similar performance it's a no brainer to purchase these over other "aftermarket" brake pads.
If i truly didn't like these brake pads, I was prepared to buy new OEM brembo pads. However I love them and I'm very glad their great.
I bought these pads for my 2014 Evo X. I daily the car and was looking for OEM replacements. These have been highly rated for just that. I haven't put much miles on the car yet but in my opinion the braking power is slightly better than the OEM Brembo pads. Slight, expected noise has been heard when the pads are cold and dusting has been minimal thus far. Overall, I highly recommend these pads. I have been very pleased so far.
