AEM Stainless Steel MAP/PSIa Sensor 50PSI

AEM offers high quality stainless steel PSIa sensors in 15 (1BAR), 30 (2BAR), 50 (3.5BAR), 75 (5BAR) and 100 (7BAR). PSIa is referenced to absolute zero. Absolute zero is the pressure measurement when all the pressure exerted by the atmosphere has been removed. The most common use for absolute pressure sensors is reading manifold pressure. PSIa sensors are required if you wish to measure vacuum. A PSIa sensor will read about 14.7 PSI when the sensing element is exposed to atmospheric pressure at sea level however they can be recalibrated to read zero at atmospheric and a negative number at values less than atmospheric pressure.

Use a SS Pressure Sensor where you need exact details of the pressure. Example: MAP Sensor information for the ECU – Calibration/crucial information for the ECU.

Aem sensor

Sensor works great no issues

Nice, but not for 2005 Legacy 2.5GT

Nice sensor however…the sensor triggered a P0108 high voltage CEL and after much troubleshooting, checked it’s resistance and it was showing 29.5 vs 2.32 for the stock sensor. Checked connections multiple times, checked pins, swapped ECUs, swapped a 5 bar AEM sensor (had 26.3 reading) to no avail. Reinstalled the stock sensor and CEL cleared. Works fine with STIs, but not with LGT which seems odd being they are so similar. Going to try the 3 bar Omni for easy plug and play. Fingers crossed.

Map Sensor

The kit comes with everything needed and was delivered earlier than first posted. Unfortunately I ended up with a bad sensor which was discovered by using the test procedure provided by AEM. I am now waiting for a replacement being shipped to me via AEM, the people from AEM have been very helpful and diligent in providing me with the correct testing and path for a replacement. These things happen and I am familiar with this sort of thing as I have been in the auto parts industry for most of my life.

Best MAP on the market

I used this MAP sensor when converting my 04 WRX to speed density. Paired great with the iWire plug and play harness and the Torque Solutions MAP sensor adapter.

Used this MAP sensor when converting my 04 WRX to speed density. It worked perfectly with the iwire harness and the torque solutions MAP adapter. Working great with no problems so far.
