With over 6000 miles of testing on Spark Tech's daily driven 03 Evo
8, this new system has performed flawlessly. There was a drastic
decrease in the common idle misfire. With back to back dyno testing we
saw an increase of 8-10whp compared to stock coils. This new system was
designed as a more affordable option compared to our cdi system However
with enough spark energy for 600whp we feel this makes this system a
viable, affordable option for cars with upgraded turbos running on
stock ecu's. If you plan to stick with the stock ecu we highly
recommend this option.
We offer the mounting plate with 2 options. Polished Aluminum or powder coated black aluminum.
Here at Spark Tech we have been working very hard to bring well
engineered top of the line products. This is why we choose Tefzel
Military Spec wiring on ALL of our systems. All wiring on this new
system will also feature Varflex mil-spec heat sleeve for further heat
protection. All mounting hardware is Stainless steel. This system takes
about 10 minutes to install and comes with complete instructions.
All dyno runs were done without ANY changes and can be repeated by
anyone purchasing this product. The Spark Tech car has the average bolt
ons, Stock evo 8 turbo, stock 02 housing, downpipe, catback exhaust,
injen upper and lower intercooler pipes with an upgraded intercooler
(because it was in stock) stock injectors, stock ecu, stock cams and
boost was at 21psi on both runs.
We have no doubt increases will be greater with more MORE BOOST and larger cams, turbos and injectors.
