What is Boost For a Cure?
Formerly known as Boost for Boobies, the new name better represents the goal for a event as a whole. In the past, the proceeds went to a foundation that solely focused on Breast Cancer. However, as the event grew, so did the focus. In 2015, we donated the proceeds to a foundation that supports families affected by cancer, thus the new name: Boost For a Cure.
The day starts at 9AM when the cars start piling in from all over the Midwest. All vehicles are allowed to enter the show lot with paid admission. You'll see everything from naturally aspirated or forced induction, classics, modern muscle, imports, and motorcycles. Your car doesn't need to make a ton of power to be welcome in the show lot. Throughout the day, we auction off 3-pull dyno runs. The first auction takes place at 9:45 with the second auction starting at 12:45. Auctions range anywhere from $70-$300 depending on the slot, so come prepared! All proceeds to towards cancer research!
On top of the cars and dyno show, we also provide food and drinks for small fees. While most of the action takes place outside and in the dyno room, we also have performance parts packages and other awesome items available for silent auction inside the shop, as well as a live DJ! All proceeds from concessions and the silent auction go towards cancer research as well.
In 2015, we raised over $31,000 for cancer research! We hope you help us reach our goal of $40,000 in 2016!
When and Where is Boost For a Cure?
In 2016, Boost for A Cure will be held on Saturday, May 21st. Cars will be allowed to enter the event area starting at 9am. The show will wind down around sundown. The location will remain unchanged, at MAPerformance in Cottage Grove, MN.
How Do I Get There, and How Much is it?
Admission is $25/car. Subject to change for 2016. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for more information as it becomes available!
From the North Metro, take I-35E to 694 East/South for 10mi. Take exit 63B to Highway 10/61 South towards Hastings, MN. Continue on Highway 10 South for 4mi to Jamaica Ave exit. At the round-about, keep right and take second exit heading south. Continue on Jamaica for 1mi. Turn right onto 100th. Continue for 1mi. Turn right onto Hemingway Ave S.
From the West Metro, take 494 South/East for 25mi. Take exit 63B to Highway 10/61 South towards Hastings, MN. Continue on Highway 10 South for 4mi to Jamaica Ave exit.
