Greddy has released two new Evo 3 exhaust systems for the 02-07 Subaru STI 2011 + STI Sedan with 80 MM diameter piping.
The Evo3 was designed to provide the best combination of Performance and Sound. Retaining the same Evo muffler style and effective off-set Tip combination, the new Evo3 muffler overall diameter is now 10% smaller, but maintains effective sound suppression with a classic GReddy Evo sound. Each vehicle application is carefully studied and designed with larger piping diameters to maintain proper routing and flow for power, throaty sound at wide-open throttle and precise fitment and functional style.
QKE8J is a 5-speed sequential gearkit for the EP3 and FN2 versions of the Honda Civic Type R as well as the DC5 Intregra. Ideally suited to circuit racing, drag racing and rally use it’s designed as a direct replacement for the standard six-speed H-pattern Honda transmission.
QKE8J features a replacement Quaife outer gearbox case incorporating an additional support bearing between 4th and 5th gear. A compact, drum style sequential gearchange mechanism and an open face dog design ensure an ultra rapid, positive gear sequential shift.
QKE8J re-uses the original EP3/FN2/DC5 bellhousing half of the transmission casing, enabling the retention of the Honda clutch, differential, driveshafts and mounting points. Wide straight cut (spur) close-ratio gears minimise transmission losses and offer a choice of rally, race or drag race gearing. There is also the choice of a helical set for road and track day applications.

Grimmspeed has redesigned and upgraded the design specifications of it’s External Wastegate Up Pipe.
Design
Grimmspeed designed this Up Pipe using their in-house FARO Arm along with the latest and greatest Solidworks CAD software. This assures that it will offer the most precise and best fitting Up Pipe on the market. OEM exhaust manifold pieces are inconsistent so they reverse engineered theie EWG using hardware/software to scan countless OEM pieces to determine the range of best fitments for our aftermarket pipe. This allows for flanges that are leak free and the Up Pipe will fit nicely.
Materials
The flex joint is 321 Stainless Steel w/ an Interlocking Liner and tubing is a heavy duty 14 Gauge 304 Stainless Steel(some competitors use thinner 16 GA) that has been CNC Mandrel Bent and finished up with a nice brushed finish. Flanges are made out of 1/2″ 304 Stainless Steel and are fully machined on all sides(most competitors typically just laser cut flanges for cost reductions). The insides of the flanges are “cut-back” to allow the pipe to rest inside the flange which gives you a nice flush mating surface thus allowing optimal flow through the pipe.
Also an option with the EWG Up-Pipe package, a bracket to hold the stock internal wastegate shut. This bracket is helpful because the turbo door does not need to be welded shut, decreasing the chance for leaks and allowing for easy removal if necessary.

Injen has engineered a replacement for the the stock intercooler piping made out of plastic on the 2013 1.4L Turbo Dodge Dart. In addition to getting rid of the factory plastic piping the major improvement in efficiency comes from the reduction in the number of unnecessary bends, and angles the stock part has. The improvements made over the stock design result in a drastic improvement in throttle and boost response when compared to stock. The Injen replacement piping is offered in either polished or black and comes complete with all hardware.

ACT’s latest offerings in a growing range of twin-disc clutch kits range from street-friendly to race-ready with capacities from 850 to 1470 ft-lb of torque. Two discs means nearly twice the surface area of the OE clutch system to provide a higher heat capacity, longer life and better wear characteristics. These twin kits include ACT’s proprietary Positive Lift Floater system to guarantee smooth and quiet operation with no floater rattle and no posts to wear. Positive Lift means both discs experience equal and progressive disengagement for optimum engagement feel and predictability.
The twin-disc kits include a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel to ensure smooth, trouble-free installation and operation.
After a very lengthy backorder on blanks we are finally making way into the Evo 9 cams. A slight change to our blank has allowed us to increase the lift and offer a new profile to better serve the stroked engines that are so commonly used with the 4G63 Mivec head. We worked with English Racing on this profile to offer the 2.2-2.4 lower reving engines with mivec control a profile that would allow for more air volume in the cylinder to help fill the larger displacement engines and make more midrange and top end power. The 6009R2 is a high lift very aggressive profile with a short overall duration to keep a lower usable rpm band. The 6009R2 is designed to rev between 4000-8500 rpms and should be used with a stroked engine or added displacement engine. The peak lift of 12.1mm intake and 11.9mm exhaust will require upgraded valve springs and a titanium retainer with special attention to seal to retainer clearance. With the lift of this profile it is suggested to only use the 5041/5040 Ti retainer and spring kits do to valve seal to retainer clearance. The 5041 can be used to 40+psi and the 5040 to 32psi on the R2 profile at 8500rpms without float or flutter issues. The profile will work fine on the OEM Rocker Arm and the Zero-tick lifter or with the OEM lifter. We have seen gains of 25-30whp over the S2 profile on the stroked applications with much more possible when used with a ported head and aftermarket intake manifold.
We are running a batch of these after we finish with our Evo 9 S2 Backorders and should be able to ship as early as Wednesday of next week. We are also planning to release an Evo 8 version of this profile but do to present stock and lead time on that new blank we won’t see it till April.

There are several benefits of using a turbo blanket.
A turbo blanket protects components within your engine bay.
The turbo blanket isolates the heat produced by your turbocharger, and prevents that heat from damaging, or even igniting, components surrounding the turbocharger within your engine compartment, such as plastic and rubber hoses and electrical wiring, as well as painted surfaces, such as the engine bay and the surface of the hood. Also, it prevents areas of localized high temperature from damaging the engine itself. For example, a common cause of head gasket failure in turbocharged vehicles is localized heating of a portion of the engine. The heat differential between the portion of the engine near the turbocharger and the rest of the engine can cause warping of the head, and thus, head gasket failure. This has been a known cause of head gasket failure in both OEM and aftermarket turbocharged vehicles.
A turbo blanket improves the performance of your turbocharger by keeping “the hot side hot”.
In keeping the exhaust gases within the turbocharger hot, turbocharger efficiency is improved. As you may know, the hotter a gas is, the more expansive it is. Within a contained system of a specified size, the more expansive a gas is, the greater the pressure derived and thus, the greater the flow of gas to escape the containment. With this increased pressure and flow rate for a given engine RPM, the acceleration of the turbocharger’s impeller is increased as compared to the same turbocharger with the engine at the same RPM but with cooler exhaust gases. This equates to faster spool up of the turbocharger, as well as greater attainable levels of boost. What a driver will experience with a turbo blanket is greater turbocharger responsiveness. The faster spool up of the turbocharger means less turbo lag and a more linear power curve.

As you may know, it is very important to keep engine intake air cool. This is why intercoolers are often utilized with turbochargers. Similar to above, the cooler a gas is (such as intake air), the more dense it is. The more dense the intake air, the more oxygen it contains per unit volume. The more oxygen reaches the engine, the more power can be obtained. In keeping the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger and away from the cool side of the turbocharger and the intake path, more oxygen per unit volume reaches the engine, and thus, more power.
